The Amazon design community is responsible for creating great experiences for millions of customers. Together we design and build websites, mobile software, applications (and even some super secret stuff).

It seemed like a no brainer to want to work for a company that made it possible for its employees to grow, enjoy their work, and do something that many people all over the world would see… almost like changing the world and writing history a bit.

Amazon doesn’t pay lip service to the idea of being “customer-centric.” That belief comes from Jeff Bezos and is genuinely held by everyone here.

At Amazon, good enough isn’t. It’s exhausting and exhilarating… and, more importantly, the work I’ve produced at Amazon is the work I’m the most proud of. The rigor and depth of input by everyone involved ensures a quality output.

It’s really cool how empowered employees are to recommend new products, experiences, and improvements to the site. If a team has a good idea and can make a convincing case for it, there’s a good chance they’ll be able to get it approved. There is also a strong culture of DIY in terms of taking ownership of something that needs improvement and getting it done.
